War Service August 1861 Lt. Col. of 7th Missouri, resigned May 1862, May 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of state militia, commanded Dist. of Southwest Missouri, November 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, Springfield (w), Westport, commanded Dist. of Rolla.
Post War Career Pension agent, farmer
