Buck and Gag

A form of punishment. The soldier was gagged and seated with his hands and feet tied. His knees were drawn up, the arms passed around them, and a rod inserted, horizontal to the ground, between the arms and backs of the knees. Thus immobilized in a highly uncomfortable position, he was left for a period of time varying with the seriousness of the offense.
