Default WTB M1841 or Enfeild rifle

Hey all, thought I'd give a want ad a try. I'm looking for a decent used M1841 "Mississippi" or a P53 Enfeild to help get me started reenacting. Like everyone else money aint growin on trees right now so if someone has a good extra rifle theyd be willing to cut lose of let me know. Thank you.

http://www.lodgewood.com/ is a good place to start. THough they haven't updated their consignment page in a while. Probably well worth giving them a call as they have often had good used arms for under $500.

http://www.n-ssa.org/ often has members elling arms.

http://www.regtqm.com/ they have a good selection as well.

Also be aware many events will not allow the M1841 on the field as it is not a 3 bander... so a P53 might be a better choice. That said I am quite fond of my M1841... prefer it to the Enfield in fact.

Good Luck

I shot a freinds 1841 and instantly fell inlove with it, seemed to point more naturally than his '61 Springfeild(probably due to the shorter length tho). I'm pretty much in the market for just about anything; '42 Springfeild/HF, '55 Springfeild, or even a '61. I'm not real picky as long as it's a fair price and it works. And thanks for the heads up about the '41, Johan.
