Default Poll: CWT Screen Width

I'm going to be upgrading the template system of CivilWarTalk in the next month or so.

I would like to increase the page layout to about 1000 pixels (don't worry, you don't need to know what a pixel is!).

I've set this page to a similar setting that I'd like to use.

My poll question is: Is this page to wide to read on your screen?

I have to scroll to the right to see the whole page. Others mileage will probably vary.

Looks OK to me so far. We don't have to use the slider at the bottom for long winded posts will we?

Yes. Way too wide. When I have to scroll over to pick up the "quick reply" button, its too wide.

I had thought it was just one of my bone-headed errors, but if I can blame you for it, I'll jump at the chance. It's generally too wide as it is. Please don't make it wider.

My monitor has suddenly refused to cooperate when I try to set the resolution higher than 800x600. I end up with a picture about half the size of the monitor screen, and the type is too tiny to read. The resolution as it has been works well for me. Anything wider would require scrolling from left to right and back again on each line of text.
