Well, I am here but just off to bed now as I don't see anyone else around. I did notice that when I went to something listed at the top under Dispatch Depot called Chat where it automatically said I was banned, then gave room for me to give my name and my password, it still said I was banned.
Now I supposed I have to figure out how to change my password so that others won't write under my name.
But my point being, if it is called chat, NOT Moderators chat, why was I automatically banned before they even knew who I was, supposedly?
Hmmmm...smacks of censorship to me. Just a thought from a lil' ol' flower of the South.

Well, it seems that this error message has plagued a few users, and I wanted to clear a few things up. The Chat Room is linked to our message board system, so if you wish to use it, you have either be currently "logged-in" at the message boards, or you will need to log into the chat room using your message board username and password. Both types of logins seem to work properly.
If you try to enter the chat room with no password, or with a different password than the one you use on the message board it may give you a "banned" error message, but let me assure you, you are not actually banned.
I hope we can resolve any other problems quickly.
By the way, this is a FLASH powered chat, so if you don't have Shockwave FLASH installed you may be prompted to download the drivers into your browser, but 98% of users already have flash. If you aren't sure, don't worry about it, try the chat room, it should work fine.
We are trying to organize a book discussion thing and it looks like it's going to be some kind of combination of 'dedicated thread' with 'dedicated chat room' thing. Maybe.
Anyway, just to test the 'chat' part I just created a new 'chat room' for our book, to see if it would work. Now I know it works, but we don't need it till March 1. Should I (can I) delete this chat room and recreate it later when we need it? Don't want to waste whatever resources you need to maintain it.

Ok, I see that one I added is gone. So did you delete it, or do user added rooms expire after some time?

from what I have learned by using other chat rooms on the net, when a user creates a chat forum, during their chat session, it will automatically delete when all users leave the room.
so, you can of course make a new room, any time you want to talk about that particular topic, or when we get home, I might be able tp have mike makde a permanent room, called "book club" or something.
But nothing will be happening till at least tuesday, as we are visiting my parents in MO.
