User Ranks & Post Counts Confusion Since Upgrade

Some of you have noticed that since moving to the new message board system that some users post counts have decreased, and that may have caused some users to drop in Rank.

We've investigated this issue, and the only answer I can give you is that the old post count was inaccurate. I've rebuilt the database in the old system and both systems now have matching post counts. All I can say is that the current post count seems to be the most accurate.

It may be that the time that the web site was hacked and then restored, it corrupted our database count. This may have givin many users a higher post count than they actually should have had.

Unfortuantly after the upgrade, if your lower post count led to a decrease in Rank, there's not much I can do, except offer my appologies, and tell you that I'll try to keep it from happening again.
