Here is a photo of a confederate courier riding to my unit telling us that the "yanks" are a-coming. In the back ground is dinamite that is supposed to be a cannon shot hitting the ground!! (dangerous)

Re: the re-enactment pictures allexcept the last one was taken at Tynemouth Castle, Tynemouth which is in the Northern part of England. The last one was taken at Meadow Farm, near Richmond, Virginia.
I am not a re-enactor myself but I have a few friends that are members of the American Civil War Society this is their web site address.

Real nice site that is, do alot of British like the Civil War and reenacting? if they do thats great!!! they need to come over here and reenact!!.........
that might be expensive![]()
great web site!!!
Garrett,
There are numerous units across the pond that reenact the Civil War. I use to have a list of various website dealing with the events and units over there but when I got my new computer I lost them allSo I will search to find them again .. There is one group that I remeber that portrayed civilians they had their own house that they carry to events it was just amazing ..

Glad to see their intriest, do they reenact Rev War also?
This is a zouve unit (9th Texas inf. who protray the 165th New York)
at Liendo Plantation 2005
Wonderful pic of the zouves. Probably my favorite one posted so far. Their uniforms have always been intriguing and I'd say they're a perfect fit for a good picture. :-)
Speaking of Zouves I have several more Ill post them as soon as I can.
I wouldnd want to cross sabers with this chap!![]()
At Liendo Plantation Civil War Weekend Nov. 18,19,20 every year. We have a nice reenactment that is growing every year!!! There were almost a 1000 reenactors there this year over 2000 tourist and Ch. 13 (abc) was there making a documentary!!! Well having Custer in this event is because after the Civil War General Custer made his HQ at the plantation and with orders to burn it down, he disobeyed probaly because of the generous "southern hospatality" he was given. And every year we have a reenactor protray Gen. Custer and its real nice to see him and take a shot at him![]()
Not sure obout the rev war.. .. but they may?Originally Posted by texascavcadet

There were lots of Imigrants that came over from various places to start a new life so the family they left behind might still be there .. We tend to forget that .. So in short Our history is Their history..
BTW..thanks for posting the wonderful pics..
I would mind taking a few shots at custer myself lol but then if we take him out the Lakota & Cheyenne wouldnt have anyone to whoop up on ...
