23. The question that will probably cost me my perfect score. There was a lot of resistance to the relief of McClellan, including talk of mass resigniations, and marching on Washington to force the government to retain him. However, the only reference to the day he actually left is one to a "brief display of protest by the honor guard at his leaving." So my best guess is that the blocked the tracks. CLOSE, BUT INCORRECT

Ewc is the only Second Division member who has remained perfect through five weeks and has now taken the lead in that division, with three other players still within striking distance.

22. King Philip belonged to Nathan Bedford Forrest.
23. They uncoupled his railroad coach from its train, insisting that he could not leave. They recoupled it only upon his order.
24. The library is named for Sally Tompkins.
25. The state in question is Tennessee. The statue is of Sam Davis, who hailed from nearby Smyrna, TN. Davis was executed on the grounds of being a Confederate spy, though the Union soldiers who captured him attested that he was wearing a Confederate uniform at the time and should not be considered a spy. (SamGrant, that’s a remarkable picture. Looks like it was taken right out of somebody’s family photo album. Where did you get it?)
