Default Mike from NorCal looking for Pvt? Peter Larro

Two g-grandfathers & 4 g-uncles served with the Union. I'm on a mission to find the unit to which my g-grandfather Peter Larro served. He signed an Oath of Allegiance 21 Oct 1862 in Dept. of Missouri certified by Geo. P. Clark, Notary Public, St. Louis, Mo. Peter lived in Kankakee, IL when he joined.

The Missouri Sec of State website maintains the records of the Union Provost Marshal in Missouri for the years 62-65. Might contain the record of the oath of allgeiance.

You can link from there to the Adjutant General of Missouri. They maintain rosters for Union Volunteers, Home Guard, Provisional Home Guard and Temp Home Guard raised in Missouri.

You can also search the archives by name from the AG link.

Good luck.
