Default A Strange Request

I am compiling information about the men in the 9th Indiana Cavalry and have hit a stone wall in my search. Very little information is located in the usual places, state historical societies, archives etc. I am hoping that I can find someone out there that maybe a relative of these men, or know of someone who is. Some of the men in the 9th were survivors of the Sultana. Also of much help would be relatives of men in the 3rd Tennessee Cavalry union. Many of these men were also on the Sultana.

Thanks for your help
