Default William L. Bradford CSS RAM TENNESSEE
I am seeking information about Lt. William L. Bradford on CSS Tennessee. Captured 8-5-1864 Mobil, Ala. After the war he left northern hospital with a shattered arm. In 1866 he went to South America. I cant find what city and state he was from. Also would like to find information about his duties on the Tennessee and what other if any ships he served on. He graduated from Annapolis in 1856. Resigned US navy April 1861 and joined CS navy in same month. I have read that he may have been from Ala. I have always thought he was from Virginia. Any help would be most appreciated .

I am a decendent of Willam Lamkin Bradford, He was born in 1835 in Huntville, Alabama. His father was General Daniel Bradford and his mother Mary Lamkin. his father was born in Fauquier Va, I belive for that reason your are asking about Virginia. Any information I wil be gald to help you.

All the life of William L. Bradford is guite amazing, He end up in Barranquilla Colombia, and he has a lot of decendents here. I studied at The University of Pittsburgh,and my classmates were very surprised by this fact.

I am not very familiar with this chat, and I will be glad someone explaint it to me.

My question is about I am a cadet right now How do you go up in the rank

The duties of William L Bradford and the ram Tennessee were Apointed Officer under the direct orders of Admiral Buchanan during the battle of Mobile Bay
