Default Andersons-Parnell-Tucker

Looking for information on possible relative named Anderson or Andersen. First name maybe Robert. Was reported to be a Colonel in the Union army and may be that of Robert Anderson of Ft. Sumter.

Esther (Parnell) Anderson. 1888?-1970. She was born in Mocksville Davie County NC. Esther’s parents are Beal Ijames Anderson and Martha Anderson (had a first marrage to Beal Smith.

Esther Janette Anderson. The North Carolina birth records show that she was the daughter of Beal Ijames Smith and Martha Spry. Martha A. Spry had two husbands - Beal I. Smith (b. about 1829) and Beal I. Anderson (b. Nov. 1858/1859). Beal I. Anderson descends from Charles Spotswood Anderson. I have a relative who married into this family.

Robert Anderson (of Goldmine Plantation) in Hanover Co, VA and was a brother to Robert Anderson who was married to Elizabeth Shelton, whose sister Sarah was married to Patrick Henry! Another brother, Richard Clough Anderson had a very distinguished service during and after the Rev. War. A Maj.&Colonel, he served at first directly under the command of George Washington, was later made Aide-de-Camp to Count Lafayette, he was a close friend of Thomas Jefferson (for whom he named Jefferson County, KY),,, and after the Rev War settled in Kentucky helping to found Louisville, KY and Cincinnati, OH. He was first Married to Elizabeth Clark, the sister of Gen George Rogers Clark of the Louis and Clark expedition into the northwest. One of Richard Clough's sons was the Col. Robert Anderson of Fort Sumter

Any info would help.
