Default P.O.W. records / Weldon R.R.

Hi, I'm new here. My ancestor L.M. Phillips was in SC 25th Co. E, he last fought in Battle at Weldon Railroad (aka Globe Tavern aka Yellow Tavern.) The battle was fought 8/19 - 8/21/1864.

After the fight there were reported "2 killed, 29 wounded, and 70 missing" from the 25th Infantry. (http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm) Oral tradition in my family has it that Lemuel was taken prisoner and died at Reams Station. Although the 25th did not fight there, it was the next logical battle in the campaign so the enemy might have carried him there.

A friend had a CD that said "Confederate Roll of Honor" concurs with this theory and gives a capture date of 8/24 and a death place/date of Reams Station 9/15/1864. I cannot find sources for this data. Any ideas?

Thanks!
