Funds to buy books I won't get close to reading. (I don't allow anyone to buy anything CW for me -- I'm still trying to fill out a Photographic History set when I got volume III one year. The thought was precious, but .....)

However, if someone were wealthy enough to get me an authentic Sharps Carbine, I would cheerfull forget all I just said. What are you hinting for HC?

I've asked for Shelby Foote's 3 volumes in a boxed set. It would take me a very very long time to read the whole thing, but would be time well spent.

WEll, I stopped for a couple minutes at 1/2 price books today and found the mother load for a gift to myself... actually my daughter college education... yeah that's it. $20 for 4 books. Cozzens This Terrible Sound, Carter, Siege of Atlanta, Barnards Sherman's Campaign & Coombe's THunder Along the Mississippi. Curse you all for letting me know that these were books worth reading!
