Default Color Companies

Looking for anyone that participates in or has knowledge of a fully functional Color Company. Our Brigade has always just passed around the Colors from company to company but I hope to now designate a specific Color Company. Any information or thoughts appreciated.

http://civilwartalk.com/forums/showt...ht=color+guard was an earlier thread that might answer some of your questions.

Choose a Color Guard instead of a "Color Company." I think the practice of a Color Guard more appropriate anyway. A Color Sgt to carry & care for the colors and 8-10 Corporals to protect them. That said they would have been the sharpest looking and best drilled troops in the Regt. In other words if you have someone who refuses to clean his arm or has an aversion to polish... look elsewhere.
