Were these photos taken in England because I saw a stone wall in the back ground. if it was im glad to see their intriest in USA history.

Default Heres Col. Wil. Gipson, (commander of my unit 11th Texas dismounted cav)

Its funny when a commander says "fire at will" and the troopers all answer "where is he"........get it "fire at WIL"

Re: the re-enactment pictures allexcept the last one was taken at Tynemouth Castle, Tynemouth which is in the Northern part of England. The last one was taken at Meadow Farm, near Richmond, Virginia.

I am not a re-enactor myself but I have a few friends that are members of the American Civil War Society this is their web site address.

Real nice site that is, do alot of British like the Civil War and reenacting? if they do thats great!!! they need to come over here and reenact!! .........
that might be expensive

Garrett,

There are numerous units across the pond that reenact the Civil War. I use to have a list of various website dealing with the events and units over there but when I got my new computer I lost them all So I will search to find them again .. There is one group that I remeber that portrayed civilians they had their own house that they carry to events it was just amazing ..

Wonderful pic of the zouves. Probably my favorite one posted so far. Their uniforms have always been intriguing and I'd say they're a perfect fit for a good picture. :-)
