Default 1853 Enfield musket

As we know this is not the cheapest hobby, in fact it more or less can take over one's life. I found a web site that was selling 1853 model Enfield muskets in smooth bore .65 caliber manufactured not in Europe or Italy, but by our little sister to the north, Canada. They are cheaper than others I have seen on the market. I was wondering if anyone had seen or heard of these arms. I was wondering what your thoughts might be about them.

I keep hearing mixed messages about Loyalist Arms, some people really love their product others have claimed it is junk. I might suggets the www.n-ssa.org or ww.Civilwarguns.com to ask the question for a wider audience on this particular subject.

I might suggest Lodgewood.com or www.umvmco.com... I'm partial to Upper Mississippi because they include a sling, gunsack and tampion w/ the purchase. About a $30 value or so. THough Lodgewood can "de-****" aka authenticize it for a modest fee.
