Steven: Don't be so modest. You and whatshisname from Nashville? Lowry Cuckoohart? are the most appreciated CSAers we have on this board.
And your photos fall well within the definition of artistic. Very nice stuff!

Well it wasnt a reenactment just just a living history demonstration.. ..
Yu are correct about the cart path .. We were on a former golf course that is now a battlefield park... but their still are some signs of the old course.. cart path being one of the them..

Outstanding work Steve, the kind of event I prefer.
Look like a rough n tough mess of Rebs.
Motor Mill is likely done, the flooding this year caused massive damage. The place you fell in to sleep Fri morn was under about 12' of water. The Inn had water up to the 2nd floor and the rest of the bridge is gone. The private residence on the site is also destroyed.
We had only a few re-enactors show, gas prices and a flu epidemic killed us but we had a nice crowd come through and I think they really appreciated us. We did live fire w/ an original M1863 Springfield & P53 Enfield and the crowd of Boy Scouts thought that was the cats meow. Even w/ a trigger pull like a fence post the Enfield shot where you aimed her.
