Default Sponge-rammer?

We call that position the "sponge rammer", in my Battle of New Orleans (1815) cannon crew. Isn't it "No. 1" in an ACW crew?

Default Like it's real!

GREAT pics, Rock City! If they weren't in color I'd think they were the real thing.

Was going to make a smarta*s remark about the lack of trees in your area reenactments, but I see you have a representative stand of respectable woodland there. Great pic! Thanks for sharing it.

That fellow kneeling is me and it was my intention to make it so the target of my attention there felt nothing at all ever again, least of all discomfort. ;-)

Banks Grand Retreat (Red River III) was without a doubt one of the very best events I have ever attended.

I'm slowly gathering photos, links, and after action reports from the event at http://www.manifest-history.org/BGR-RRIII/index.htm. Expect the page to grow over the next several days.

AZReenactor, maybe I don't get out enough in either the real world or online, but your pict 106 with the cattle, or were they genuine oxen, pulling the wagon was outstanding. Thanks for putting up the link to the collection.
