Has anyone read "The Bloody Crucible Of Couage" - Fighting Methods and Combat Experience of the Civil War by Brent Nosworthy?
The lit little I have read out of it is wonderful.
From the dust cover...
Nosworthy leads an all out attack on the many myths and misunderstanding about the North and south fought. .. Now everything from grand tactics, to hand-to-hand combat during the WBTS is given its proper due in the development of warfare.
Nosworthy weaves together the story of newly emerging weapons, the resulting change in military doctrine and the combatants experience as theses innovations were applied to the battlefield.
Regards,
Steven
