Default Hi From Canada

Hi from Ontario Canada. I am looking forward to the new information I will be able to glean from you all. I have been interested in the ACW since taking American History in high-school. I am especially interested in Calvary skirmishes. as a home-schooler I also can't wait to instill this love in my children (who have seen Gettysburg and Chattanooga/Chickamauga) who already are more interested in American History than Canadian.
You all seem so knowledgeable, I better check out the suggested reading section .
Tara

Hey Ohcanada: Good to have you with us. It's great that you've taken an interest in the Rebellion, and even greater that your kids are into it. That's pretty neat. We are a friendly bunch (though some of us have had our handguns/weapons seized by authorities). I'm kidding. They couldn't find mine. Looking forward to your posts on the boards. Take care.

Respectfully,
Leland

Dear OhCanada;

Welcome to Civil War Talk forums. I'm sure you will enjoy the International flavor of the membership and enjoy experts of all sorts who put in their posts filled with interesting facts and figures.

There is a naughty word catcher in the software. You may see a bunch of ***** and that is the naughty word catcher at work. Just go back to your post and hit the edit button and, if the word is innocent; such as fu-rther; insert a hyphen in as to break up the spelling.

Please take your time and do not feel pressed to make posts. And, if you do post and may have references, please include them as to give folks a means to look things up and read things from it; as to hold a discussion on the same 'page' per se.

I look forward to your posts.

Respectfully submitted,
M. E. Wolf

Welcome!

The last Canadian I welcomed to the board admitted she was only a Canadian by marriage and geography.

You are, I assume, the real thing?

Nope I'm the real deal. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to getting involved once I can navigate my way around the site.

Welcome to our northern cousin. The Canadians have a lot of French & Indian War sites that I have visited. Of them, they include Fort Chambly, Isle Aux Noix, Plains of Abrahah, Quebec (citadel) and there's still part of the fortification in Montreal that has been excavated.

My favorite British regiment, 60th Royal Americans was up there for a while too.

Welcome aboard, Ma'am! It will be nice to have a perspective neither Federal or Rebel. Looking forward to your posts.
