Default "fresh fish"

Sir and Ma'am, glad to be here, I feel welcome already. I have felt the the fighting spirit of our ancestors all my life. Born in Alabama, grew up in Ft. Pierce Florida, Columbus Georgia, Atlanta Georgia and Charlotte North Carolina Since 1966. In 1975-76-77 I worked with Al Schultz making uniforms and accoutrements of the American revolution and civil war. My wife was an army vet and finished her education plus our first child and took a commission back into the army for six years (Walter Reed AMC). Living around D.C. during this time I soaked up the area history best I could. Our second child was born in Washington. Got to say Gettysburg holds a special place in my heart. As a youngster I found lots of "minie balls" and and shell fragments around southwest Atlanta and Utoy Creek. My wife's Maternal Great Grand Father served with the 14th Regiment North Carolina Troops, and her Paternal Great Grand Father served with the Home Guard. We are still working on my folks history. My grandson is very interested in my equipment,trappings and such so you never know. My Avatar was taken by Al Schultz in 1977 and my user profile photo in 2006. If I can help please let me know, thanks, Mel Hadden.

We haven't yet run short of seats by the fire, Hal. Grab one, move it to where it suits you, and chime in.

Dear mcarvercraft;

Welcome to Civil War Talk.

Look forward to your posts in the future.

I want to warn you that the software has a naughty word catcher, so at times even a general's name like Cu-mmings gets caught and have to do a clever hyphen insert there and here. So, when you see **** in your post it is that naughty word catcher. Just go back to your post and hit the edit button and re-spell it cleverly and hit save.

Please take your time and go at the pace that is comfortable for you. There is no quota system here.

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
M. E. Wolf

Oh shucks. We're getting overrun by tarheels. Moratorium. No more tarheels for at least a week. Then you may multiply by whatever method suits you.

If diddyriddic is an example, I'm getting out of the way.

Did I mention that I'm not as mean as I look?
