Default Hello to everyone!

Greetings. After several months of reading on this forum,I decided to take the plunge and register. This is the first time I have ever posted on a meesage board, so I hope not to make too many mistakes!
I am a Pennsylvania native, though my mother's family
was from the Nashville, Tennessee area. So, my interests cover both the eastern and western theaters of the war.
I look forward to conversing with you all. This is a great forum.

Hail and well met! I hope to swiftly see what you have to ask and add to the discussions here.

Dear BertG,

Welcome to Civil War Talk! I do hope you will enjoy your experiences here.

I will mention, that at times the software acts like a potty mouth catcher and even though the words are innocent--it will require some clever edits if you experience a bunch of **** in your text. Pressing 'Edit;' it will pop your text back up and should it be an innocent word, add hypens to break up the spelling as to correct the issues. It isn't a moderator power to edit the naughty words, its in the software--so all of us are subjected to it. I just don't want you to think its personal or someone is messing with your mind.

There are many topic forums about, that you can explore, archive posts, etc.

There are many folks here with a wide range of age, interests, knowledge and experiences. Every now and again, there is a lot of humor.

Please go at your own pace. No quotas here and go at the pace that is best for you, most comfortable for you and do share what you know with all of us.

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
M. E. Wolf

Hi Bert, welcome to the board. It's good to have a connection in the Keystone state.

Welcome aboard. Nice of you to "come in from the cold" and become a full-fledged member.
