Dear LtKepper/Lt. Paul Kepper;

Welcome to Civil War Talk. I hope you will find this forum a wonderful site for research and fellowship.

I must caution you though; the software on this site has a 'naughty word' filter; so if you see your post has **** in the word body; it is most likely a word that has been triggered for the auto-censor to well --block. LOL

Sometimes it really is harmless; like for example Colonel Cu-mm-ings at Bull Run/Manassas battle--it has that kind of word that triggered the censor and had to use some creative editing to spell the man's last name out. LOL

Just hit the edit tab over your post and go back and add hyphen as to break up the word as to not trigger the software sir. Just want you to know its not personal -- just an aggressive naughty word software.

If you are not aware; there is a www.cwreenactors.com site dedicated just for re-enactors.

It can be easily overlooked when it comes to Civil War history; that there were organizations in the Union Army that had their roots in Southern States.

Just some thoughts.

Thanks to some of my ancestors, I constantly remind the boys here in the SCV that many of the men of Tennessee wore blue coats. They don't want to hear it. Even the Harlem Globetrotters took along the Washington Nationals just so it would look like another team on the court. This horrible civil war was fought by two armies. Men with the same color blood and similar roots. Yes, re-enactors have coats to fit the occasion and location. Sometimes the yanks don't send enough folks down to provide targets for our cannons, so we trade roles.

Yes, Lt., we welcome you aboard and look forward to learning of your exploits!

Chickamauga and Chattanooga...two other overlooked battles of the civil war. It's been a number of years since I've been there; a road trip may be in order!
