Default Hello from Austria!

Hy guys,

I am founding father of a small reenactment group. We do the 5th GA Inf. To be more precise we've chosen company A.
As you can read in the subject I am from Austria. Here we have about 100 Reeneactors over all. Most of them doing the south. Don't know why....
It's weird, really. In Germany when you start in the south of the country, you find mostly C.S. Units. The ****her North you go, the more U.S. Units and fewer C.S. Units there are....

Confederately,
Klaus - aka Handy Harris - Zahradnik

handy.harris,

Welcome to the forum!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Civil War reenactors from Europe during the 135th Gettysburg reenactment. Meet fellow reenactors from England, Germany, New Zeland, France, etc.

Glad to have you onboard.

Sincerely,
Unionblue

It is indeed a pleasure to have another non-American on the boards. We look forward to getting your perspective.

Welcome!

Dear Handy.Harris,

Welcome to the Civil War Talk forums.

I've seen some of your posts and look forward to seeing more.

Please take your time and post when you are comfortable. There is no quota system and there is no pressure.

In your post in your introduction, you may have noticed the *** -- those are the software's text check as to filter naughty words out. You may have to do clever re-spellings; e.g. fur-the-r as not to trigger the software edit/censor portion. Its not usually an issue but; at times it can mislead to an assumption that moderators are 'nit picking' on someone.
It isn't...just the software.

If you catch one of those *** and your language isn't 'naughty'--you can poke the edit button and retype in a clever way; as to complete the text message you had wished to post.

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
M. E. Wolf

Welkommen mein Freund. My family on my mothers side comes from Austria. Have you ever come across the last name of Eisenzopf?

Default welcome

Hope you enjoy this site. You will learn much. My husband's great-great grandparents on his mother's side of the family were born in Austria.

Klaus,

Good to have you aboard.

True, Bavaria has been know as the Texas of Germany for many decades. As a Texan, I can truly say, I do miss Baveria.
