Default Hello everyone

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am new to both the message board and the reenacting hobby. My husband got me into this hobby about 2 years ago. I am looking forward to meeting new people who also enjoy reenacting.

Hello, Captains Wife, and welcome to CivilWarTalk.

I don't reenact myself, but you will find some kindred spirits on the Reenactors Forum within the Haversack on this website.

Hey, welcome. Yep, I'm also a n00b. Anyways, have fun here, you will find this place is full of kindred spirits.

I have never reenacted myself, but one day I hopefully will.

Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the board.

You and hubbie should come to Conner Prairie this Oct. for their Arms Making Workshop. They've got a hearth cooking class, weaving, coopering, stock carving, blacksmithing, knife & tomahawk making and a whole assortment of other things going on. If you know anyone who belongs to the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, check out their Aug. 2008 issue. It has my article on their (flintlock) lock assembly class and making the tansel (family) style power horn.

Gary
