Hi, I'm Pvt. Brandon T. Benner of the 3rd PA Artillery Battery B. I'm 13 years old and am proudly a Union Civil War reenactor. I have about 30 ancestors that fought for the Union, the most notorious being Maj. Gen. George B. McClellan. Anyway, I'm glad to be here.

And we're glad you're here, Pvt. Benner. I'm impressed! The kid writes better at 13 than a lot of us here do in our late 20s. Look for his first best-seller in fewer than 20 years.

Thank you, sir. I already am writing a book, three books actually. They're historical fictions that follow the life of a 10-year-old boy through the Civil War with his father. It's taking a bit of time, but I should have the first one finished at the end of this year.

Jeff Shaara watch out! Pvt. B is not only a powder monkey and No. 3 and No. 4 on the gun, but he's also training for No. 1 and No. 2 and working on historical fiction. By the time he reaches college, he may be a nationally known author.
May I have a role in your first movie? I can stand in the background in uniform, doff my hat and cheer lustily as some gineral rides by. I don't particularly care which side I cheer for either so long as I get a role in the movie and the eats that goes with it.

Sounds cool with me.
