Default Ready to learn

I have been a Civil War buff since my parents gave me the American Heritage book on the Civil War in 1960. I have been studying the War ever since. One of these days I think I am going to know something about it.

Looking forward to participating in CWT.

Richard
I was in Indianapolis for a convention last September. Great city. The biggest surprise was the Eiteljorg Museum of Indian Art. This has to be one of the best collections in the country.

Just finished a biography one of my favorite Generals - Lew Wallace. He was a true Renaissance man.

Hey, neighbor! I live in Flower Mound and work in downtown Fort Worth. Another Texas joins the boards!

Ah - American Heritage Civil War. I still have that book.

Welcome aboard.

Ashbel,

I've been learning about the Civil War for near on 16 years now, but I never learned more or found more sources than when I came to this board.

Enjoy your time here. We are all still learning.

Sincerely,
Unionblue

It is amazing how many people started their Civil War interest with the American Heritage book and those magnificent "maps."

Are you a member of the Fort Worth Civil War Round Table?

I am not, have only recently gotten "back into" the civil war. Do you have information on them?

Thanks!

I'll try to make it if I'm in town.
