Welcome aboard! And now we have someone to say "Yo!" when someone yells, "Is there a doctor in the house?"

CSSurgeon. Welcome to the site. I think you will find yourself sprnding lots of time here. Are you really a doctor or "just play one on the field"? (ala the early '80's Peter Bergman of All my Children/Vick's commercial)

Good to have you here. I was born in Baltimore and have many fond memories from there. I used to go ice skating in the rink they would put up every year in the parking lot of Memorial Stadium. Go O's may they not finish dead last again!

"Well I sold the farm to take my woman where she longed to be
We left our kin and all our friends back there in Tennessee
And I bought those one way tickets she had often begged me for
And they took us to the streets of Baltimore

Well her heart was filled with gladness when she saw those city lights
She said the prettiest place on earth was Baltimore at night
Well a man feels proud to give his woman what she's longing for
And I kind of like the Streets of Baltimore

Then I got myself a factory job, I ran an old machine
And I bought a little cottage in a neighborhood serene
And every night when I'd come home with every muscle sore
She'd drag me through the Streets of Baltimore

Well I did my best to bring her back to what she used to be
Then I soon learned she loved those bright lights more than she loved me

Now I'm-a-going back on that same train that brought me here before
While my baby walks the streets of Baltimore
While my baby walks the streets of Baltimore"

-Streets of Baltimore by Gram Parsons

1st thing that came to mind. Welcome CSSURGEON

Welcome aboard, Sir! The streets of Baltimore have become far more attractive during the last few decades. My uncle Bill Parker lived at Linthicum and worked in the ship yards. A recent visit certainly didn't look like the same town from the 1950s.

Hello, CSSurgeon, and welcome to CivilWarTalk.

I share MT155's good wishes for the Orioles. They may finish last this year, but I think better things are ahead for them.

Welcome CSSurgeon,

Got any advice for someone with a cold that has lasted over 5 days?

Hope you enjoy your stay here with us.

Sincerely,
Unionblue
