Just thought I would say hello. I have lurked on this forum for a couple of weeks and it looks great. I hope to get more involved in the next few days.
As to me Im an English amateur/armchair military historian with a special interest in the ACW. Especially, but not entirely as it related to England. My other areas of fascination are the Army of the Potomac and the Navy of both sides (especially the North).
Anyway, thank you all for making this place so interesting and look forward to talking/ debating points/ arguing politely with you.
Welcome to the site. There are quite a few 'Limeys' here. Good to see you are interested in the naval side of the war. That is also one of my interests. The best way to use the site is just to pile in and ask questions or offer your own opinions.
Wecome to the board and please feel free to join in our many discussions and debates.
Sincerely,
Unionblue

We can use someone who is closer than most of us to the English involvement in the lead-up and prosecution of th ACW.
Welcome.
