Default Howdy All

Just stumbled across this forum a few days ago and thought I would check it out.

I am from Oklahoma and I am currently applying to several Universities to get my PhD in Military History.

Does the "aggie" part mean you have your bachelor's or masters from Texas A&M? You are most sincerely welcome aboard Revenge. I hope we don't take you too far afield in your studies.

That would be correct. I reluctantly left the great town of College Station over a decade ago to join the Marines. How the hell I ended up in Norman Oklahoma is beyond me....

Into each life, some rain must fall.

Hey, I reluctantly ended up in the Peoples' Republic of Illinois. Haven't yet found a reason compelling enough to pick up and leave. (Although I've been really, really close a couple of times.) If I had my drothers, I'd be living by a small lake (with bass) in Missouri.

Thank you for your service, leatherneck. Semper fi.

Probably the same way I ended up in Tulsa. Every once in a while I wake up and say to my self, "What the in the world am I doing in OKLAHOMA!???" I never thought I could live this far from the ocean.

Welcome to the board! don't be shy.

I've been fighting the impulse for a while now, and I finally broke:

Y'all come back now. Heah?

Yeah, well, now that you are a Captain, I guess you are entitled to say just about anything you want.
