Thanks Matt.
I see you research the 30th IL. I work at The Horse Soldier tomorrow so I'll look around for any 30th IL items. I can take pictures of anything that might be there and make copies of any documents for you. With the owners permission of course, but they normally don't have any problem with it.
Thanks for the welcome.
Andy

I am familiar with the Horse Soldier. I have had Vonnie research many a soldier. If you could look up the 30th IL I would much appreciate it. The 106th PA is another favorite of mine. I think the last thing I bought from HS was a couple of beautiful circa 1800 decanters which I use regularly to dispense spirits such as Madeira and Armagnac.

No problem. The Group Buy thing gave me a good laugh!
Truth be told, I get the same discount as the customers on the relics. On books and tapes there is an employee discount. But if anybody is looking for anything let me know and I will try and help out. I don't get commission or anything so I don't think it is improper to post this here. Just trying to be helpful by keeping an eye out. Its fun when you can tell somebody you found what they were looking for.
Cheers to all,
Andy

Hello, 27thConn, and welcome to CivilWarTalk.

I live in the general Gettysburg area myself, though not quite as close as you.

Nice to have another Pennsylvanian on board, even though neither of our user names suggests the state where we now live.

Thanks Hoosier! I have a good friend in Dillsburg and spend sometime there once in awhile. Ever been to B & J's Antique Mall?

When did you arrive in good Ol' Pa? Moving here was one of the best things I ever did.

Andy

I'm not much of an antiques enthusiast, so I can't say I've ever been to B&J's (but if you find out that they have any antique spinning wheels for sale, let me know - my wife might be interested).

I moved to Pennsylvania in 1971 - spent nearly 25 years in Philadelphia and/or its suburbs, and finally moved out to Dillsburg in 1995. I like it a lot.
