Default Another Jarhead reporting in!

Sorry, folks...I should have done this first...but Im here now! Anyways, I am a lifelong student of the conflict known by so many names. My sympathies tend to lie with the fighting men of both sides before any serious political causes. Im a 15 year active duty Marine vet...was discharged after the Gulf War with the drawdowns, and at my advanced age (in my 40's!) after 9/11 I wanted to do something more, deciding to finish out my time with the Michigan National Guard. Well, it's not the USMC, but generally a good crew, and heck..I'm getting my 20 years in this year!

I am a former reenactor with Co. D, 9th KY (CSA). I really loved that, but my current job just doesnt give me room for that now. I hope to return to it soon.

I really look forward to learning and discussing at length this fascinating subject with so many very knowledgable folks here.

Thanks for letting me come aboard! Semper Fi!

Leigh

Welcome... I've been missing quite a few of the new recruits lately... can't afford to miss a good GI. God Bless & thanks for your service.

Greetings Custersluck13!

May I first offer my thanks for your service to your country and to all of us here? It is deeply appreciated.

May I also wish you luck upon completing you 20 years of service? You deserve a little payback from all of us for that service.

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Sincerely,
Unionblue

Wow, thank you one and all for the welcome. Humbling to say the least! I just am ever so happy I found this board...I can spend hours here..actually, I do...just reading and trying to absorb as much as my little brain housing group can manage! I just hope I dont embarrass myself here too badly! Again, thank you for the welcome!...Leigh aka Custersluck13

Welcome to the Board. You know it by many names, but did you know it's been called, "The Mother of All American Family Feuds" by me? More seriously, glad to have you here with us. Now I know why there's an empty spot at the campfire.

TY, Gary! Yeah...i know one can get in trouble with most any name you call it! I kinda like your moniker there...my Marine instinct wants to create a acronym, of course. So shall it be "The MOAAFF?" Such as, "Welcome to the MOAAFF roundtable, ladies and gents!"

Thanks for the sincere greeting..it is just really a pleasure I found this forum!...Leigh
