Default Better Late than Never

Figured I would introduce myself since I have been posting. My name is Craig and I am from Riverdale, NJ, a small town in suburban NYC. I am genuinely interested in history in general. For instance, on my honeymoon with my wife, I insisted that we go to Belize rather than some Carribean island because of the Mayan ruins there!

In any event I take an active interest in the Revolutionary War (particularly from a 'NJ' perspective being considered the crossroads of the Revolution), the history of NYC, and of course the Civil War. I became interested in these topics because this was history that I could actually get to and the 'cast of charachters' in the Civil War is excellent: ie. individuals like Dan Sickles (an excellent life story), the fact that the combatants fought together before the CW during the Mexican American War and even the fact that Wheeler fights in Cuba.

In terms of world history I am pretty well versed in the history of the Roman Empire and WWII.

When I was younger during summer three day weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc.) my friends and I would just go to the Jersey shore. Now, being married, life changes and my wife and I now go on road trips to the Civil War battlefields. So far we've gone to Gettysburg, Shaprsburg and Fredericksburg and of course we plan to do more.
