Im Jeremy and Im 26yrs old. I hail from Houston, Texas. I have been interested in the War For Southern Independance for about two or three years now. I am mainly interested in Texas units and their involvement in the war. I also like the small battles like Wilson's Creek and The Red River Campaign. I hope to learn a lot and also to have some fun. This place seems like a pretty cool hangout.
I'm glad to meet you. I'm Texas2nd. I live in East Texas. I have kids in Austin and Dallas. We lived in South Texas when I was a child - I've visited West Texas - I think I've been everywhere in this great state!
WAnted to tell you that my GGGRandfather was in the Red River Campaign at Battle of Mansfield in La.
I hearty welcome from the great state of Wisconsin. Parts of the Iron Brigade and the 1st Texas tangled at Antietam. Didn't do anyone any good. Glad to have you aboard. Huzzah!

Seems like no Texans are from 'North Texas', guess they excuse themselves as 'Panhandlers"?
Welcome, ... from the West.

North Texas in Texas is the region above Dallas bordering OK. Sounds strange i know but your right - Panhandle is not North Texas! Oh yeah,..I've been to the Panhandle too!
From your post concerning Sugar Creek, you are obviously a descendant of just another Tennessean who had to go to Texas for one reason or another. A man with Giles County roots must be ok. I look forward to learning more from you! Welcome to the crew.
You wouldn't be refering to Davy Crockett as another Tennessean who moved to Texas. Crockett lost an election for state office. I believe his quote was "you can all go to h*ll, I'm going to Texas".
