Default Hello

I found this site last week and have thoroughly enjoyed reading some of the posts and seeing the reenactor's photos.

We live in OK and go to events in LA, TX, AR, MO and OK. So far that is as far as we have ventured because of our work.

We took a few days off beginning last weekend and traveled to Franklin, Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Parker's Crossroads and Corinth. Not in that order of course. We are back home now and winding down.

I am looking forward to being a member of this forum.

Andrew B Sears was my 3XGreat Grandfather. I received his service records and there was a letter included from his immediate commander to Gen Terrell requesting a furlough for Sears. Terrell denied the request and that is the final entry in his records. A few months after the war his wife was a widow. I don't know if he was killed in battle or not. A short time after the furlough was denied they went to Mansfield and fought in other battles in that area. Andrew's son Isaac was in the 13 TX Vol, Co F.
