Hi Everyone
Just found this board! How did I miss it? My interest lies with the 11th Virginia Infantry AND the 147th New York Volunteers. I'm also interested in any information on the "Immortal 600". I'm descended from Capt. Thomas B. Horton, Co. B, 11th Virginia Infantry. Captured at ****ord Station, Virginia May 21, 1864.
Let me be among the first, but certainly not last to welcome you. I hope you enjoy your stay.

I will echo Shane's welcome and raise him a howdy.

Too bad you didn't find this place a few years back. I'd use to come across accounts of the 600 and could have posted them as I found them. Sorry but I can't recall which books I've seen them in either.

I see you have a direct connection to the 11th Virginia Infantry, but I'm curious about your particular interest in the 147th New York..?

It should go without saying that although I am a proud member of the military, my posts in no way reflect the official policies of the USAF or the United States government.
