Rad:
Good to have another on board. You'll find this a delightful addition to your restored interest in the WBTS.

Welcome, always good to see another resident of the Empire state aboard. This native born New Yorker looks forward to debating and discussing the ACW.

Welcome to the 'battle'. I hope Neil wasn't predicting a fate usually reserved down here for yankees? These are talented and knowledgeable scholars for the most part who make this board an informative and enjoyable source of history.

Larry,

You are a caution, as my grandma used to say.

Rad, while sometimes the debate here feels as though it could get bloody once in a while, we ask for no donations nor transfusions, just your honest participation.

The more accomplished debaters here on the board are polite, knowlegeable, and never fail to yell, "DOWN YANK!" "DOWN REB!" before they fire a reply.

If there is any blood involved, it is usually in the raised blood pressure of passion for history and the attempt to honor the men who sacrificed on both sides of the conflict we love to debate so much.

Again, welcome, good luck, and keep your wits about you, your powder dry, and your head down. Your in the trenches now, and if you ain't careful, you'll done get it blowed clean off.

Sincerely,
Union 'bloodied' blue
