Besides, I am from the South. I live just on the South side of Columbus, Ohio.

But honestly, during the war, most Southern supporters and the cause of secession were found right here in Franklin County and in Columbus. The strange thing was, the further South you went in the State, the more loyal to the North the population became.
Rad, sorry about hijacking your welcome thread, but conversation is where you find it!

My apologies also. It's sometimes hard to get Neil using short enough words to converse with him. As the old buzzard flew yet further south from Ohio, he would encounter many folks who signed up for the Union. They figured if their great grandpas gave their lives and fortunes to create the country, it might be worth saving in spite of Calhoun and Davis. These weren't yankees, just Americans.
Welcome to the cyberspace version of both side's pickets having a good old chat.
Pull up a cracker box and have sone coffee, hardtack, and salt pork.
