~tip of the hat~
Why thank you, ma'am.
You're not going to hold it against me that I married a Yankee, are you?
Don't worry, I forced her to give birth to three southern boys. And the first two even arrived as a set. LOL!
I'm doing my best to breed the carpetbagger out of her for the greater good of the South. Ha, ha!

I'd hardly hold marrying a yank against ya, since i'm one myself. Please accept my hearty welcome, and I look forward to many enlightening debates.

Welcome, Sir! You live in one of my favorite states. I lived near Columbia for several years, and I really miss the town and its friendly people. I also miss the Lizard's Thicket. Mail me a batter-fried porkchop, would you?

Regards,

John W.

Maurices BBQ... best in the country. Best fast food Sonic hands down. THen there is the Mikado, wonderful Japanese food. But in all honesty I still will always prefer Charleston w/ such places like the Blind Tiger/Four Corners Cafe & the Papillion which much to my sarrow I have been informed burned down.

Welcome son of the South, you'll find many good comrades here... both North & South.

Upon noting your sig; Semper Fi.

Maurices Mustard BBQ for lunch... Dinner: Sonic Burger w/ cheese, Onions, BBQ sauce, pickles w/ Onion Rings & a Cherry Limeaide. Almost as good as the Venison Steak I just finished...

I lived in Sumter County four years while stationed at Shaw AFB. Many a weekend spent in Charleston and Columbia. And of coarse many a Friday night engaged in Pub Crawls in Sumter or Charleston. After my enlistment finished got a job w/ a Security Company as a tech covering about 1/3 of the state w/ Columbia being the center of my area. Met my wife there... her dad was a MSgt. One hell of a guy, God rest him.

I spent a lot of time in the Columbia Library and the Hysterical Society... Incidently a bribe of Maurices BBQ went a long way to my being able to spend a lot of time there. SC State Museum & the Museum of the Confederacy are excellent; some of the best I've had the pleasure to visit.

Food; the best way to a mans heart... other than between the second & third ribs that is.
