New to the site. Look forward to some good discussion.
A bit about myself:
Live in VA and I freely admit that I tend to lean pro-South, but am not a neo-Confederate type. I always try to be open minded (you probably won't change my mind, but I'll hear you out) and look forward to pleasant conversation.
My favorite areas of study would be the Trans-Mississippi and operations in the Department of East TN and Southwest VA.
Welcome aboard, Mr Forrest, you will find all kinds here, all who share a passion for the Civil War and able and willing to speak their minds and share their knowledge. An excellent place to debate, to learn, and to enjoy. I'm sure you will treasure this site as the rest of us here do. Good to have aboard, ed

Welcome from South Texas. You will find a vast diversity of opinion here.

Welcome NBForrest. There's plenty to study about outside of Virginia but Lee & his army seems to draw the attention of most enthusiasts. This means there's plenty of avenues for you to breaking out new research. Good luck!
