I live on the ground that my G-G-grandfather and his brother fought across in Carter's Brigade at Franklin on Nov. 30th 1864. I am the author of a book entitled, The Battle of Spring Hill: Twenty-five Hours to Tragedy. I Saw this site a few weeks ago and intend to enjoy the forum. I specialize in the Tennessee Campaign - specifically Spring Hill, Franklin and Nashville and have general knowledge in the western theater. Not much on the east. Hope to hear from yall in the future.
Regards,
Jamie

Welcome sir. I recently visited the battlefield at Franklin. Although the local cop gave me awful directions, I finally found it. I tell people that it was more tramatic than Pickett's charge. Franklin was a battle that has been short changed. I am currently reading Peter Cozzens' trilogy starting with "No Better Place to Die". I reenact a sergant in the 6th Wisconsin of the Iron Brigade. This is a good site. Enjoy
