Hail from another person in Tennessee. Originally from Texas, but after moving here I discovered a bunch of family who served in the war from this state, including Joseph Daniel Whitley of the 7th TN Cav., Co. K.
Also had some Yanks in the family.
My friend Kraig turned me on to this site.

This is a nice place to hang around. Lots of interesting discussions, etc. Your town was originally called Cannonsburg, was it not. When was it changed to Murfreesboro?
WElcome aboard, enjoy the stay and hop right on into the conversations

Welcome to the board. Always glad to have new input and observations on the war, so pick a thread and jump right in!

If you'll stay on this board for a while, you'll discover that yankees are both nice and knowledgeable, not to mention helpful! Nice to have some southern company.
