Howdy Jessie,
Welcome to the site, and boy what sites you will see. Do not let some of the talk scare you. Some of the old timers here get a little carried away, sit back and enjoy.
As always I will keep the cook fire going and the coffee hot,
John F. Wiedeburg
Welcome,Jessie, to the boards. I encourage you to sign up for as many topics in which you have an interest. Later on, you'll probably be hooked like the rest of us and want to glean as much information from all the areas as possible.
The atmosphere is courteous and friendly. We are all here to learn from one another. Learning is only worthy when it can dispel darkness and defeat ignorance. When it just talks to itself, nothing changes.
You can say whatever you like on these boards, but you might also be invited to prove it. <grin>
This board has served as an arena for the "champions" or squires of every point of view to test their mettle on one another. Though the battles are serious, with very few exceptions, the folks here are respectful of one another and no real blood is spilled.
You'll hear a lot of good-natured bantering back and forth but we're all friends here, the Blue and the Gray.
I hope you will stick around and give us some of your views on issues. We love to hear fresh voices!
Till we meet again, I remain, YMOS,

Thea, well spoken, Welcome to the storm Jessie; we are all American Civil War buffs here. Feel free to join us in our quest for further knowledge.

Welcome and post as often and as much as you like. All are welcome here and we have the bruises to prove it! But just as all the above have said, we will listen, we will debate, and we will respect your point of view.
Welcome!
