My name is Jan and I am the President of the Third Ohio Volunteer Cavalry Descendants Association and also a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War. I am a past Tent president and am on the council for the department of Ohio. This is my first time in any kind of open discussion forum, but I do like to learn about people and about the Civil War. I am a Civil War "addict", I guess you could say. This is also my first foray into the world of being in charge of an encampment. What fun!! Any further ideas are welcome. So far, so good. But, everyone needs a little help now and then. Thanks you all.

People here will challenge, debate and talk about any aspect of the war with you, so be prepared to back up your comments.
