Thanks Shane, and everyone else. I appreciate it. As for mys tudies at UNC I am trying to finish up, just a few more classes. My focus is mainly in the Colonial and Revolutionary Periods, but I have alot more books on the CW. Both interests me more than anything. As for my gun, I am going to get some pics and get them online as soon as I can. And I would never sale it. I have a great appreciation for antiquity. Thanks again.
Welcome also to the board. While UNC-Chapel Hill will never replace THE university of North Carolina in my heart (which is located in Raleigh), it's a pleasure to see your interest in preserving the memory of those who participated in this tragic war.

Hello, I'm new to this list but had noticed when I visited this site before there was a chat room. Is it no longer available?
I have a lot to learn about the Civil War so am eager to read the various posts.

Hi Skinem,
The chat room was taken down while the system was under maintenance, it should be back in a few days. I'm glad you like our site. Welcome aboard!
You can also check Ebay for Bill Edward's Civil War Guns. I've seen starting bid as low as $9.99. That's a lot less than what I paid, but then again, mine's autographed to me.
