I thought I would drop a line to say hello and introduce myself. I'm a former N-SSA skirmisher and a current Federal cavalry reenactor. I hail from Central Maryland which puts me in a great location to attend some really great events at some of the most pivotal battle sites of the war.
My outfit, 1st Maine Cavalry is a very history heavy group and we strive to accurately portray the Federal Cavalrymen of the time.
Drop by http://mainecav.org to take a look see.
Dave

Hello, 1st_Maine_trooper, and welcome to the website.

I'm glad to see that you've jumped into our trivia game. Your chances of winning the current game aren't real promising, considering that most of the other players have a four-week head start on you, but at least you can get a couple of weeks' practice before we start the next game.

David,

Already seen your post on proper firing and loading techniques and am glad to see someone with your knowledge join these boards. Welcome, sir, and prepare yourself for a good board with good people and some lively debates!

YMOS,
Unionblue

David:

A warm welcome and I have briefly checked out your website - it looks great. I've had serious computer issues for the last few weeks so my time is very limited lately, but I hope to explore your site a little further when my computer is up and running again.

I'm very interested in the Cavalry and I'm wondering how your Unit feels about female impressionists?

Dawna
