Just to say hello.

I'm a retired army officer with some 40 years of military reading in my personal history. A Rhode Islander by birth; my maternal side provided 7 privates to the 4th and 7th RI (1 kia and two wia). The Kellys were still herding sheep in Londonderry until 1884.

Currently I reside in Dinwiddie Cnty VA; about a mile from where AP Hill met his end in one direction, and Fort Gregg in the other.

May not get rich living here, but by gawd I can spend the rest of my life living and breathing the Civil War

Look forward to exchanging wisdom with all.
