Hello All. I'm new to this and re-enacting. I hope to meet new friends and to learn a bit of the Civil War history and re-enacting from everyone.

Thank you, Cash. I'm sure I will, just as soon as I figure out what I'm doing.

Welcome to the group, Katy. I hope that you will stay and contribute to our threads. We are a very divergent group.

I see that you are a Tennessee lady. So I guess you're not the "Katy Scarlett" from Georgia that graced us for a few weeks many months ago.

Stick around and share some of your thoughts with us.

Till we meet again!

Welcome to the group Katy.
What are you involved in with the re-enacting. Military or non-military portions of the war?
Chuck in Il.

So many welcomes and hellos and questions I have no clue where to start.
I'll start with Thank you for the warm welcome.
Now your answers:

#1 For Thea: No I am not "Katy Scarlett" from Georgia.

#2 For Chuck in IL. I am also in IL. I'm involved mostly in the non-military side. But I am involved with every part of our re-enacting, Troop history etc. I am the Web mistress of Scott's Battery Home page, so I must learn every part of everything. I'm a seamstress and I make period civilian clothing for our troop and for sale. I cannot make the uniforms due to the fact I'm allergic to the wool. I am also involved in taking our authentic piece to the many local schools to teach them about the gun, the times etc., and of course the war. I work from home so I'm about the only one who can make sure the gun is there for the kids and if I'm really lucky and get a few members to join me we do fire the gun for the kids.

I hope I have answered every question. Once again Thank you for the warm welcomes.

Miz. Katy
