N-SSA

The North-South Skirmish Association.

The N-SSA is a National organization comprised of over 100 member teams. Each member unit represents an original regiment from the Civil War. These units compete in live fire competitions. The competitions can be individual events for each unit member, or team competitions for a best time to complete the event. Cannons, mortars, musket teams, carbine teams, repeating rifle teams, and pistol teams all compete for the highest score. A Nationals event is held twice a year, once in May, and again in October, at Ft Shenandoah, Va, near Winchester, Va.
